Not a huge deal for me personally because I ALWAYS went with Kaidan....and stayed true, even in those play throughs when I thought "I'm going to do something different this time so I can see what happens later." I just....couldn't do it. Kaidan would give you that smile back onboard the Normandy after Eden Prime and I would melt all over again...uhg. However, if I ever did get curious I now know not to bother. Honestly, they should have made James an LI for at least the ladies because we got very little men folk to choose from. Whereas manShep has 3 ladies and 2 dudes or 4 ladies and a dude....always hating on the femshep in someway they are. LOL!
It is a shame that there weren't any new male LI's for the FemSheps among us... I can only hope that'll be fixed. In the meantime, fanfic is all I can get. :3
I do have one Femshep that I started in ME2 default so Kaidan was dead (which made me sad but it was the only way I was going to have a save file without him as a LI lol every time I tried ME1 with the intention of romancing no one Kaidan always won me over) and that FemShep romanced Jacob, we all know how that gets paid off. Ha, that is my full renegade FemShep too, she would so kick his butt but theres noooo option for that
I didn't really have an opinion on him when I started playing (though it was fun to deck him in the beginning) but he grew on me--especially when he was in the Mess and trying to outdo Garrus with stories.
